I have had a weight problem my whole life and have struggled with the worries and mental fatigue of dealing with it over the years. I have tried pretty much every diet program out there and have also been to a few doctor supervised programs. I have been up and down the dieting yo-yo over and over again. As a teacher, I am constantly surrounded by food and by the end of the school year (June 2017) I was at my highest weight and was absolutely miserable. I tried Weight Watchers (again!) and managed to lose about 10 pounds, but all the choices that they offer just don't work for me. After trying to keep off that 10 pounds, I finally went to see Dr. Gearhart to learn about the program he was offering. I am so glad that I did. One BIG difference I noticed right away was that he and his staff really care about my progress. Other "Doctor" programs I had tried usually had the doctor talk to a large group the first time, then after that you never saw or talked to them again. Dr. Gearhart actually meets with me every week and weighs and measures me. He discusses any issues I am having and encourages me to continue with my progress. He is very generous in letting me come up and use his "shakey machine" any time I want. This really helps me to keep accountable to the program. How did I do? Well, even though I am 57, I lost 22 pounds and about 23 inches in 6 weeks! I felt great and couldn't believe I did so well. I have always been told that losing weight in your 50's would be next to impossible, but this program works really well even for people my age. I am now on my second round and so far I have lost 11 more pounds! I am really happy with Dr. Gearhart and his Chirothin program. 26.4lbs in six weeks! What else do I need to say? After holding my breath so I could tie my shoes for the last several months, I knew I had to lose some weight. But like so many of us: I like food.... a whole bunch. Have a good day? Let's celebrate... with food. Have a terrible day? Let's get out of the doldrums... with food. How was I going to lose weight? I can't do this. I don't have the discipline. I'll start tomorrow. Or after the Holidays. I spoke to Dr. Gearhart and I was convinced I could do it with his help. (Well, that WE could do it: he will not do it for you.) The first two days of the Chiro-Thin program were great: eat (5000) calories each day. My kind of diet. Then, the work begins. It's tough; I'm not going to mince words. But after the third day of eating properly per the diet, I was seeing results on the scale. That was enough motivation for me. It was great to see the scale going down! Then, a pant size down! Alright, I can deal with this. And the increase of confidence was fantastic: I COULD do this. My weekly check-ins with Dr. Gearhart were encouraging and understandable. I had a few days where there was not any weight loss and Dr.Gearhart helped me through it. Each week, I felt better and better: sleeping better, so much more energy (just going up and down the steps), saving money because I was constantly eating too much. And I finally came to realize I was chronically dehydrated. Drinking what seemed to be ridiculous amounts of water at the beginning of the lifestyle change became the norm and acceptable because I was feeling so much better! More focused; more clear. And the first time I realised I wasn't holding my breath in order to tie my shoes? It was very rewarding! Let Dr. Gearhart help you out with this.
